The information TEA Party goers for Topeka found was just a little outdated it was as follows:

Event: Topeka Tax Day Tea Party

Join your fellow Kansans Wednesday, April 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Topeka Postal Annex, 1410 NW Gage Blvd., to help show Washington that when it comes to taking our hard-earned money to fund pork projects and ineffective programs, enough is enough! Bring your homemade signs, and come and go as you please. Food and drinks will be provided, so please register online so we can prepare accordingly.

Those who showed up were enthused and exchanged ideas with one another.

This year’s get together went entirely unnoticed. While last year drew more than twenty-five hundred this year drew about 15. After showing up and wondering what happened I went back and checked my email then checking my calendar found that the information I had was a year old.  I was pleased to know that there were others to show up. We had all seen the same data and thought that there may have been a misprint on the announcement.  However instead of being upset about being duped because the information was bogus we exchanged thoughts and enjoyed each others company.

While writing this it came to me that this tax day may be looked upon as one of the good old days. I say that because future tax days may see much higher taxes than we are now suffering with and a loss of freedoms that could never be imagined.

Organizers may want to make their next gatherings more clear and include the year when posting them for those of us who believe that the posting could have been a misprint.

I can say without a doubt that every one of this year TEA Party goers are true Patriots.

Sincerely,

Jim Gibb
